The Association has now converted the old Tipstaves’ lunchroom in the Supreme Court building into a Robing Room. New lockers have been installed, together with new key-pad locks and other minor alterations. In an agreement between the former and current Chief Justices, and the Bar Council, this work was paid for by the Bar Association due to the Courts Administration Authority’s dire lack of funding. The Robing Room will be for the use of SABA members only.
The room is on the right as one enters the building through the entrance to court number 11 off King William Street. Members have been given an access code and the room is accessible at all times, even when the courts are closed to the public.
An Honour Board recording the names of all past Presidents of SABA has been hung in the corridor just outside the Robing Room.
